About the default language

Hello, I am a Chinese web development learner. Recently using your project practice, but I need to change default language to zh-CN, that is, enter localhost:1313 ,in home page , the language is zh-CN, when I want to preview the English page it can switch. but I can not do that

Main menu entries disappear when name is changed

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install theme following instructions in documentation
2. Change names of any main menu entry eg:

name = "About"
URL = "about"
weight = 1

to

[[menu.main]]
name = "Mission"
URL = "about"
weight = 1 

3. Build with hugo server & the menu entry gets hidden.

Front matter templates are not generated by Forestry

Front Matter Templates are not generated. Followed this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ResipmZmpDU but Forestry didn't generate front matter templates that are available in the exampleSite folder. The website is deployed by Netlify but some bits of the homepage are not shown and no other page is rendered, so it is basically just some portion of the homepage and that's all, other content is not rendered by Netlify. What could be the reasons? Is there a way to skip Forestry? I am using the Educenter theme.

I understand that universal analytics (UA-xxxxxxxx) is no longer tracking analytics and has been replaced by Google analytics 4 (GA4). Is GA4 supported by this theme? If so, how do you configure it?

Deploy failed

Hi
I went trough the installing three times (text and video), but the deploy fails.
I deleted after a fail "all" from github-forestry-netifli.

When I go trough the build log then I see:
9:54:18 PM: Installing Hugo 0.60.1
-> 0.60.1 is an older version as shown in the forestry dialog.

any hint?

I am fond of your theme "educenter" but I am not interested in using neither netlify nor forestry. So I wanted to learn how I have to configurate Hugo to get it running. Event list does not sort properly by date or weight

Hi, I cannot get event list to sort properly. By default the event list.html does not change the default Hugo sort order which should be weight and then date. But if I have no weight value, the events do not sort in order of date. I know the date format is recognized, because the html for the event object will not render unless it recognizes the date format.

If I set the list.html for events to display range .Data.Pages.ByDate, it still lists the events in random order. If I enter range .Data.Pages.ByDate.Reverse the display order changes, but it still displays in a different random order, it does not sort by date.

If I add weight values to the front matter in the event files, the display order on the list view changes but it still does not display the list in order of weight, the list order is different than when I specify ByDate, but it is still just random, there is no sense to the display order at all.

Do you know how I can get the event list page to render by date or by weight and not just ordered randomly in ways that dont make sense? First Feature Block Underneath Banner

The live demo on GitHub, has the first section header sliding under the main image. This is actually different than the demo on the Hugo site.

It appears that d82a39f is the culprit, as checking out the commit before this has the correct behavior.

Site fails to build (hugo)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Clone or download this repository as a zip file
2. Extract files to hugosite/themes/educenter
3. Try to build with hugo server

How to use this them on Github page?

I am trying to use this them for github page.
I use either
Hugo
hugo -t

To generate public folder.

the github page appears but all preloaders disappear, the page looks like it cannot load components from the thems.

event dates

Events with a date of 2020 don't show up on the events page at all and when viewing the event page directly, it doesn't display the correct year either.

Theme doesn't load with JS disabled

Your theme is absolutely delicious. However, for those having JS disabled the page only shows the loader icon and never passes that. It'd be great if with JS disabled the site downgrades and all site content were still accessible (with exception of dynamic effects).

Menu : entries duplicated

Hi everybody,

I'm facing a problem with the menu in the header. I've written my menu in my config.toml file, and organized my content in folders (within the content/ folder of the project).
The problem is that every folder I added in content/ creates an entry in my menu, so I end up with a menu displaying entries corresponding to the config file and entries corresponding to my folders created in content/.
Then I have duplicates, where one entry comes from the config.toml file, and the second one from the folder structure (and takes the name of the .md that is in this folder)

I've attached a screen of a part of my menu, and a part of my folder structure to help understand my problem. (the duplicates are: {partners ; partners title}, {contact us ; contact us}, {resources > documentation ; documentations}

courses not showing up for future date to apply for

I am trying to publish future courses for students to apply for, however, when i set date to a future event and turn off draft, it doesn't show up on the courses page to see. Events for future dates work but I'm not sure why courses are not showing up. I am using FrontMatter and setting the date, even just 1 day in the future it does not show. How can I fix this issue? I've scoured the files and not sure what I am missing.

Insecure mixed content detected

I go thru the steps for the website, but when I deploy on netlify it seems only the html is loading without the css. I look at the deploy details and it warns of insecure mixed content being detected. I don't know too much about this stuff. So, any help would be much appreciated.

How can I customize css ?

I have tried to edit the SCSS file in the asset folder of my project, but when I rerun hugo server my changes are set back to the original. I thought we were just supposed to edit the file on the asset folder (and not directly from the theme).

Can anybody tell me where I'm going wrong?
Are we at least able to edit the CSS of this theme?
