Users should be able to log in to the application

Integrate with the firebase API to enable users sign in to their account.

Users should be able to upload images to their feed

When a user clicks the plus icon in the header, they should see a dialog box for creating a new post with a similar workflow like on instagram.

  • Set up cloudinary for image/video hosting
  • Add generic dialog component
  • Implement functionality to enable uploading images
  • Show uploaded posts on user feed

Users should see a dashboard after login

Once a user logs in to the application, they should be greeted to their feed which would contain posts from their accounts and accounts that they follow.

Tasks

  • Add component to display empty feed when a user hasn't yet followed any account
  • Add component for showing stories (just the card section and no functionality for showing the stories themselves as of yet)
  • Add component for showing videos and images

Users should be able to create a new account

Integrate with the firebase API to enable creation of user accounts from the sign up page.

Tasks

  • Create sign up page containing the required fields
  • Users should be able to sign up with their email address
  • When a user submits their details, they should receive a verification email
  • Add integration and E2E tests
