Are there any plans currently to implement voice calls for the customer?

With the possibility of doing private or group calls. The ability to customize the audio bitrate, and above all, be able to make calls in LAN directly, server-less.

Is this even possible? Could you implement it? I'm sure many are looking for something like this.

I am having so many errors while building the solution in Visual Studio. Looks like the technetium Library is missing.

First of all, congratulations for your project. A true p2p high level end-to-end encryption message system is awesome.

What kind of client are you planning? Android, Linux, Web? All of them?

This messenger looks good, I have noticed that there are some issues related to user friendliness, some of the issues are listed below:

1. To have private chat with any user, we need to get his 40 character user ID and then Add it. What is the way to get the user ID of other user? Because we can't use the user ID shown in the People list of Local Network Chat List.
2. There should be an option to send private message to any user from the People list of Local Network. This feature is very important and it gives user the feeling of People list is contact list. So we can communicate with any contact in the same network.
3. User Id of same user changes in each chat group, which creates confusion to the users. But why can't we have fixed User ID for a user irrespective of any group. Like a unique mobile number.
4. Add Group Chat: I have created group named TestGroup, there is no option to add other user to group or to join the group using its network ID?
5. Preview of images sent or received in the chat list?
6. Add Private Chat: When we add the user Id of other user, it won't show to other user immediately to accept request. In some cases we could see only after restarting application.
7. There should be an option to chat with any user in the Local Network group. For example If we click on the User-A's name, it should show chats with User-A.

This is not really an issue but would like to see minimum RSA set to 4096 or maybe even user select-able

I've seen some articles that the Feds are starting move to higher bit strengths for their encryption standards. They haven't eliminated 3072 bit strength but it appears they are moving in the direction of 4096

Any plans to support other operating systems? People use different operating systems and it’s impossible to ask a Linux user to switch to Windows just for a chat app.

Has anyone considered porting Mesh to use DIDs (Decentralized Identifiers) and DIDCOMM (as a message transport)?

I'm going to take a serious look at this and was wondering if anyone has already taken a kick at this can?

If I tried to connect using private chat - it will not delivered any message and profile picture disappear.

Hello! Many systems that uses DHT, like Jami, end up using signaling servers, does this software also uses them? If not, how do one peer discovers another? Asking because I'm also have a lot of interest in p2p apps.
