linux-tn-imx's Issues

Linux Kernel freeze on imx8mm-pico-pi if ath/qcom wlan.ko module is not loaded at boot or unloaded at runtime.

How to reproduce:

Environment:

Board imx8mm pico pi: https://www.technexion.com/products/system-on-modules/evk/pico-pi-imx8m-mini/

Starting from Yocto BSP:

repo init -u https://github.com/TechNexion/tn-imx-yocto-manifest.git -b zeus_5.4.y-stable -m imx-5.4.70-2.3.0_2021Q4.xml

tx-imx-yocto-manigest is on commit 86721af835feb1e3ad9ed843c8708c128409acf8, at the time of this writing.
Kernel tag: tn-zeus_5.4.70-2.3.0_20211018

Step 1: run the system without wlan.ko:

Option 1: Add "init=/bin/sh" in Kernel boot args

Option 2: On a normally started system, login as root, then unload wlan.ko with commands:

systemctl stop connman
modprobe -r wlan

Actual result

system hang after few seconds.
The hang can be avoided the first time, by running "modprobe wlan" before the hang.
Note: further unloading/reloading wlan.ko seems to crash for other reasons.

Expected result

system should be usable even if the wlan.ko module is not loaded.
Ideally, wlan.ko unloading/reloading should work too.

Unable to find revision in branch tn-imx_5.10.72_2.2.0-stable

When building Yocto 3.3 Hardknott from the Technexion BSP I get the following error:

Linux-tn-imx-5.10.72+gitAUTOINC+97258dd1dd-r0 do_fetch: Fetcher failure: Unable to find revision 97258dd in branch tn-imx_5.10.72_2.2.0-stable even from upstream.

I was previously able to source this commit without issue, now I cannot find it in the repository. Was this change backed out?

I attempted to change the Yocto recipe to point to the latest commit on the Stable branch, but bitbake failed with "ExpansionError during parsing meta-tn-imx-bsp/recipes-kernel/linx/linux-tn-imx_5.10.bb"

How can I resolve this issue?

Release date of the next stable version

Hi, I'm a PICO-IMX8MM user.
I'd like to use V4L2 controls with AR0522 camera module in our(company) project, but these features isn't merged yet in any stable releases.
I checked it is functional by cherry-picking, but we cannot use it because of our releasing policy.

When do you plan to release the next stable version?
I'd like to know milestone of releasing if you have.
