I will need at most a diode per key, perhaps less.

I did make a "start" writing the firmware, but that turns might require more effort than necessary.

I could use a library/os to do most of the low-level heavy lifting:

• zinc: seems abandoned, last activity over a year ago
• tock: written in rust itself, might not be able to write apps in rust, but must be in C
• self writing: requires a lot of effort

I have chosen for the Teensy 3.2, and I will need two of those.

The cherry keys can hold 3mm LEDs

I need to investigate what leds can be used and at what price.

I probably have sufficient broken USB cables lying around I can salvage wires from.

I already have a metric f-tonne of resistors, but those are old, and in the 20K - 2M range.
I also have 8 220-Ohm ones and 8 120-Ohm ones

I might need to purchase new ones, I need to investigate

Since I would like to add kennykaye's wrist rest I might as well check if I want to add some other things. Like extra room for USB ports or the teensy/BT module

Switches go per 10, so that will be:

• 40 MX greens: $32

• 10 MX whites: $10

I already ordered two bluetooth modules at €3/piece
should arrive within a month
