Hi Brian, Thanks for your i2c_bus.php code.

I have tried to run this on an Debian Rpi Apache webserver but sadly (it seemed so usefull) without success.
In your notes somewhere it says that the i2c-tools can only be accessed as root user.

Run Apache as root is bad and I don't want to rebuild Apache, so how do I go around this? The command shell_exec("ls -l") works OK and the echo whoami gives www-data as output, so to me it seems an access issue.

I did follow the installation instructions to the dot :-), and in python (starting the script from the command line) and commandline (SSH terminal) the i2cget works as expected.

I can not imagine that other Rpi users did not run into the same issue, but can't find any usefull info.
Have you got any idea?
