seagrasscoverage-dash's Issues

improvements to UI

  • Include correct segment polygons
  • get busy spinner or dialog when processing data
  • add documentation

Collapse 9113 & 9116

This may be a separate tab or 2, but a lot of people are interested in total seagrass, not patchy v continuous (although I have several research questions about those two codes), so it would be helpful to also include a set that combines 9113 & 9116 (e.g., that's what is reported on our annual WQ 2-pager), and all the change analyses for those as well.

suggested additions/modifications from CA

  1. Can you limit the size of a user defined polygon to say 1 acre? Reason being that the maps are not intended to go down to the gnat’s ass scale. What that threshold should be is up for discussion. But I think we want to prevent users from zooming in too far since we recognize there is a certain amount of “artistic license” especially with the patchy polygons.
  2. The time series plot showing not only the acreage over time but the relative percent of continuous to patchy is awesome. I do think adding 7210 – sand would be very helpful. For example, we saw loss over the hump between 2016 and 2018 and much of that loss was the transition from patchy to sand. Also 9121 attached algae would be a very good one to add as well.
  3. As you add additional FLUCCS categories, it might be useful to allow the use to select which layers to graph. So if I wanted to only see continuous and patchy I could do that.
  4. What about an option to download the tabular data? I tried copying and pasting directly into Excel and it didn’t end well.

Table order

For year v year table, suggest the following order:

Continuous
Patchy
Algae
Sand
Other
