Katrin

Tool to mine social network data like friendships or interests. Supports facebook so far.

Modules

• Each social network is handled by Miner (e.g. FacebookMiner)

• Each Miner accepts userid (name or email, depends on Miner), for who the information should be mined

• Each Miner has his own configuration, which tells, what should be mined or authentication data (if miner has to authenticate itself).

• Output graphs from all Miners is saved in one neo4j database. It gives us the possiblity to easily combine analyse of e.g. twitter and facebook for the same person. TBD: how to map same person from different sources to one node?

Quick start

• rename run/katrin.default.ini to run/katrin.ini

• Set your facebook username and password in the file (and neo4j DB URI).

• Execute facebook_mining_example.py $uidOfUserToMine
