Allocating bits to a smaller range
Not sure if this is feasible, but I remember you mentioned that we can allocate a portion of the bits over a certain capacitance range to improve the signal resolution. This would be something interesting to explore.

Selective enabling of capacitance channels - Change sensor behavior to achieve max datarate
The current implementation changes the view without turning off notification on the disabled channel. Change this to a true single channel operation.
Change the x-axis scrolling
One way to to show the waveform is so that the window is preset to a time interval and just have the waveform move instead of the entire x-axis.

Ability to change the x-axis interval
It would be useful to be able to change the time interval shown in the GUI. for example right now it's set to 10 seconds... if there is a way to change it whether it be shorter or longer would be great (1 second, 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 1 minute, 1 hr, etc.)

Allow prefixing on the dump files

Add a feature flag to control on/off of capacitance auto-scaling
Make sure single channel operation can run at full speed so latency can be minimized
Save UI settings to disk
UI settings should persist across different sessions.
Default config file shouldn't set blank strings to log_dir and data_dir

Implement device scanner
Expected behavior: On scan button click, a window listing all devices pops up and allows mounse double-click to select device to use.

Ability to drop down markers
Possible to add a way to drop down a marker? Just a time stamp marker would be great when pressing some specific key in the GUI.
