Is it possible to add a wire_search function to search the posts from RESTApi?

After installing web_services in /mods in elgg-1.8.8 and activating from the plugins page, the individual categories of web services cannot be enabled. They are all disabled by default. Checking them and saving the settings don't take effect.

with/without authentication

I have downloaded the web services named web_apis and put in my mod folder but on activating the plugin I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function elgg_ws_expose_function() in ....mod/web_apis/lib/user.php on line 24

Please assist

hint: elgg_get_config('profile_fields' should get an array of the possible profile fields that are saved as metadata.

For example :-

www.example.com/services/api/rest/json/?method=user.save_profile&username=example&profile="what and how to pass profile params here"

Can you please help here?
