dell-latitude-7390-7490-hackintosh-efi's Issues

Wifi not working

Hello, in the readme.md you wrote everything is working, but for me the wifi is not working and it wouldn't be a problem, but when I connect a wifi stick, the system is now responding anything to it. I have the 7490 of Latitude.

Thanks in advance!

Audio for Dell Latitude 7390 2-in-1

Audio didn't work for me(ALC 256)
Used VoodooHDA.kext

Problem:
Microphone not working
Updating OSX to 10.15.4 causes Kernel Panics

After Sleep, the machine cannot wake up, needs a reboot

Thanks to @Swung0x48 for making this possible, I am very happy with this Hackintosh.

EDIT:
Microphone worked on layout-16, Audio is good.

No trackpad at all

Hi, Swung0x48. I tried Opencore boot in my Dell Latitude 7490 with 16GB, NVME 1TB and intel core I5. Everything is great. (The sound at first is fantastic) and I got every function working except trackpad. Neither trackpad nor trackpad buttons work at all. Tried with Clover and I got the same behaviour. Maybe your are working on it and planning to fix it in the future. Now I'm back to Opencore (it is a lot faster!) and working with a usb mouse. Facebook and iMessage do not work either, but that's not a big deal. Thank you for your work and please, let me know if you find a solution for trackpad surface and buttons. Maybe even getting to work as a basic mouse would be fine. Thanks again.

OpenCore version

Is it possible to have an OC version? Clover is getting deprecated, some way to parse it?

7490 OpenCore 0.63

I hope all is well with you. First of all thank you for your efforts and sharing the EFI. First question, how can I download the OpenCore EFI from your repo? Please guide. Also would you able to update it to 0.63? Look forward to hearing from you. Regards

How to remove key mappings?

First off, thank you very much for making this available. It helped me resolve many driver/kext issues I was having. I do have a question, hope you don't mind. Where are the key mappings being set? I would like to remove them. I can go System Preferences > Keyboard to reset them, but they often come back. Thank you for your time.

Cannot boot into installer

Hi
I use your EFI folder. But my dell 7490 never boot on mac os. I can hear MAC OS Boot sound and then it boot to Windows.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong !

Dell Latitude 7390 Catalina

Hello. Thank you for providing us the EFI configuration! I really appreciate it.

I have a Latitude 7390 with an i5 8250u, 8GB RAM and a Toshiba KXG60ZNV256G 256GB NVMe. I tried your 10.15 files to boot into Catalina but without success. I managed to boot into the installation but without keyboard and touchpad. I had to use an external usb keyboard and the touchscreen. I managed to format the drive to APFS and GUID and then started the installation. The installation finished and the machine restarts. After the restart it continues the installation in the apple logo where after the completion it restarts again. After the last restart I cannot boot into the OS to continue the configuration. I get a kernel panic no matter what I try. I used every possible configuration and I still cannot make it. I get a lot of errors about the ACPI.

I have configured my BIOS using this tutorial https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/11477-7490-bios-settings/

The errors I get are almost identical to those shown in the image at this reddit
https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/e6acdi/question_im_new_to_hackintosh_and_am_unsure_on/

Any ideas on how to proceed. I got too close and I 've been struggling for about a week.

Thank you very much,
Agapios

Headphone audio & SD card reader

Hi, I have found a way to enable audio in headphones, though is not perfect yet (amplifier gain is too high so there is some background noise) and I wanted to share it with you. To get it working just switch ALC to layout id 21 by adding it to boot arguments: alcid=21. Other layouts have better headphone support but then speakers don't work properly, so 21 is the best compromise.

As for SD card reader, you can enable it by adding kext found here:
https://github.com/cholonam/Sinetek-rtsx/releases

Cheers.

Issue about config.plit and AppleIntelLpssI2CController error

Thanks for the EFI.
As mentioned in ReadMe, you have already sold this laptop,
I would be very grateful if you can provide any information or material.

I used the EFI under OC branch, then Catalina hackintosh was successfully installed.
But after I run 'Migration Assistant' and robot, an AppleIntelLpssI2CController error occurred.

For these S\L\E kexts, in the era of Clover, I could use CoolStar's patch to fix them.
You also used this part of the code in Clover’s branch, seems like:

<dict>
<key>Comment</key>
<string>Prevent Apple I2C kexts from attaching to I2C controllers, credit CoolStar</string>
<key>Name</key>
<string>com.apple.driver.AppleIntelLpssI2C</string>
<key>Find</key>
<data>SU9LaXQ=</data>
<key>Replace</key>
<data>SU9LaXM=</data>
<key>InfoPlistPatch</key>
<true/>
</dict>

But in the OC's 'Kernel => Patch' parts, I did not find any relevant content.
Is it because this part of the patch no longer needs to be added? OR just as I did not find these patches?
OR any ideas about the panic caused by 'AppleIntelLpssI2CController'?
