Unfortunately, no. Because the onBeforeOpen event comes directly from SweetAlert2 and does not provides any way to prevent the modal apparition.
However, you can still handle that before ngx-sweetalert2 is involved, for example:

<button [disabled]="!somethingIsSelected" [swal]="mySwal">Delete</button>

should work since the disabled state should prevent the [swal] directive to intercept the click.

It's much better for the UX, since there's a visual/semantic indication that nothing can be deleted. Otherwise, the user could click the button and then wouldn't understand why nothing happens. You can even apply a conditional [title] content that says "Please select something" if nothing is selected.
