I'm currently working as IT-Systems Engineer and started to fall in love with coding.

  • Solving logic problems
  • Planning and organizing structures
  • Vizualising dependencies and interactions

What not to love? 😉

My main expertise is in Python but projects in Golang are currently in progress. 😁

On the IT infrastructure side of things I like to use Ansible to implement infrastructure-as-code.

Digging deep into network traffic is also a joy for me.

Feature: Use Client-IP if non was provided

In case we have distributed clients (p.e. Browsers/javascript) it would be handy to have a way of pulling the GeoIP information for the current source IP.

We would need to check:

  • X-Forwarded-For and X-Real-IP header
  • Direct source IP if public
  • Fail if neither IP was provided nor we were able to find a valid source IP
