periodic-table's Issues

Addition of new features and maintenance of old code and pdfs

@quozl I was thinking of improving and adding some new features to this activity:

  • Improve the over-all structure of the activity.
  • Option to check the graphical atomic structure of the element on right click.
  • Improve the data present on PDFs.
  • Make the PDFs more attractive by changing some font-styles and and size.
  • Add Help Page to activity.

Potentially out of date

The most recent discoveries do not appear to have been integrated; based on the date of last change to the table upstream and the commits to the code here in Sugar Labs. Needs careful checking. A script to do the check may be in the repository already, I've not checked.

Cannot proxy the given URL

There are image links in README.md, these images are not showing up and ends with "Cannot proxy the given URL" message.

Optimised for 1200x900 display

The activity is optimised for a specific display resolution. It should be tested on other resolutions and improved, perhaps by resizing the table cells.

debian/ubuntu like dependencies as periodic-table fails to start

Hi!
I'm working on trisquel-sugar 10.0 based on ubuntu 20.04, I'm fairly new to still we are backporting sugar from impish, so we have the latest fixes available.

I'm having a small issue with this activity, is there some recommended debian dependencies that should be fulfilled, some other 45 activities are working fine, so I guess most should be there.

Or maybe it's something else, but I don't see any specific log or error that I can share.

Any advice is very welcome.

Several issues on review

I've reviewed the activity.
