awesome-juce's Issues

`squarepine_core` things

First - thanks for such a cool initiative! The list is excitingly extensive and well documented.

As the author - I wanted to mention that there's an issue with the license with the squarepine_core item in your list: it's not custom, but ISC. You can find it here: https://github.com/SquarePine/squarepine_core/blob/main/LICENSE.md .

More information about this license can be found here: https://www.isc.org/licenses/ .

It's worth noting that 4 modules from JUCE itself are ISC licensed: juce_audio_basics, juce_audio_devices, juce_core and juce_events. You can find the official details here: https://github.com/juce-framework/JUCE/blob/master/LICENSE.md .

License aside, it should be noted that the modules provide an assortment of other functionality than mentioned: from audio effects and audio processor management/creation, network connectivity checking, maths, among others. Feel free to summarise as you will - that information is lost in the present description though.

Better "last commit at" display

@ImJimmi

Tried out your suggestion, I like the idea of using tags. The main problem seems to be readability due to white text on light green/yellow, which is unideal....

The original list is more readable:

Maybe a fixed width would be better too...

[SUGGESTION] badges for (almost) realtime updates

Hi there, thanks for your (volunteer) work, the collection is very nice and useful !

Since we manage a similar one (HyMPS, check it out), we suggest you adopt graphic symbols (we use badges) for licenses/stars/updates columns in order to make the list more easily consultable "at a glance".

Here's an example for your first row:

repo description license ⭐️ updated
Gin
by FigBug
Massive collection of extras, including StackBlur, Websockets, Maps, etc

(note: of course, you need to customize badges aspect, links etc.)

Last but not least: do you think your update script is adaptable for our list too ?

Hope that inspires !

A table for active forks

The JUCE ARA fork exists on the "Frameworks" list, but it's just a JUCE fork that adds ARA plugins support.

Once such a table exist I would like to open another issue to add https://github.com/soundradix/JUCE, which is a JUCE fork with several bug-fixes and added features (for example AAX AudioSuite support)
