I found if underscore is not explicitly added to the app ($ meteor add underscore) this package does not work.

I'm trying to update stevezhu:lodash version 3.10.1 to 4.5.1 on Meteor 1.2.1 running on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

meteor update stevezhu:lodash reports The specified packages are at their latest compatible versions.

Why is it that when I:

_ = lodash;
console.log('version',_.VERSION);
console.log('version',lodash.VERSION);

It returns: version 2.4.1

Although the lodash.js file shows:
var VERSION = '3.10.1';

It's already onstage.

Right now I have one init.js file in each package with a single _ = lodash line.

I realize the limitations due to meteor core underscore dependency, but the readme clearly says when added in packages, the _ would become lodash.

Is this some trick or am I doing something wrong?

Example:
This particular piece of code throws a huge
TypeError: Array.prototype.map callback must be a function
error at compile time, since _ is still underscore and it doesn't support passing keys to a map function.
