Between the previous version and this v1.31 there has been a change made to how the file server handles files. It appears that previously each cylinder on the drive had a bitmap. This changed to save space, grouping them together.

It means that previous hard drives created with WFSInit are no longer used correctly, and there is no updated WFSInit program available for the Level3 disc formatting for v1.31. The idea is to take the code and add a switch so that a compatible L3 fileserver can be built. The same would be true for a FileStore, e.g. if upgrading from v1.23 to v1.31, the older hard drive would presumably require reformatting. This is the current hypothesis and needs further validation.
