ArcuS

Arcus is 2D shooting game made in Python using pygame.

GamePlay :-

Multiplayer :-

A multiplayer version of the game made using socket communication.

Requirements :-

1. Python(2 or 3)

2. pygame

   install it by typing

   sudo apt-get install python-pygame

   OR

   pip install pygame

How to start playing :-

1. Clone the repo
2. Run python main.py

For multiplayer :-

checkout the multiplayer branch

1. Change the server_ip in the constants_file to localhost for P1
2. Run python server.py
3. Change the server_ip for P2 to the public ip of the system on which the server is running
4. P1 and P2 run run python main.py and click on multiplayer

Controls :-

1. Give direction to the arrow using the mouse
2. Drag the arrow to increase velocity
3. Release to Shoot

Change highscore part to include names

Game window not opening in proper size and continuous sound

The screen does not appear in place. Too large a window, cannot be dragged. And continuous beep sounds repeat. Cannot do anything else. This is directly after the cloning the repo and running main.py in the master branch.

Add a time-restricted mode in the game

Add instructions to play the game

Kill all arrows that move beyond the game screen.

Change Boom Sound

I have noticed that the balloon bursting sound is kinda off. So please replace the sound.

Issue with the music in the opening screen.

The initial second of the music plays in a loop.

Dynamic display required

WIDTH and HEIGHT are set constant. This is a problem as user's have different screen size.
First window size should be detected and then set accordingly.

Remove Unnecesary boxes in the pause and instruction menu on the top left corner
