Bluepill failing install, script stalls

Getting this when I run the script on a clean Ubuntu 12.04 sys. My guess is bluepill moved its repo, would fix if I knew how... Please advise.

Broken Custom Checkout Step With Bluepill Rolling Restart

I have a custom checkout step:

# order_decorator.rb
Spree::Order.class_eval do
  insert_checkout_step :company, :before => :address
end

# _company.html.erb
<%= button_tag "Go to next step", :type => "submit", :class => 'btn btn-success' %>

Works fine in development. Works fine in production, until a sudo bluepill restart is run. After a restart is run the site continues to load fine but I can't advance past this custom checkout step.

I'm stumped on this one: not sure what could be causing the issue. I messed around with spree.pill with no luck. Has anyone encountered this problem?

Some posts I found while trying to solve the issue:

unicorn not restarted properly by bluepill

Hello,

My app sometime does not restart properly between deploys...
When this is occuring, I manually login on the server and do :

sudo bluepill spree restart

bluepill.log : https://gist.github.com/sbounmy/4744603

The pid monitored by bluepill is not correct and bluepill tries to kill the wrong pid or somehow...

So far, to restart properly unicorn I have to :

sudo bluepill spree stop
sudo bluepill spree start

I am still investigating but any help is appreciated : )

Why not pre-compile deface overrides in default deploy.rb

Not necessarily part of this repo, but very strongly related so I figured I'd ask the question here, for reference.

Was it a conscious decision to not precompile deface overrides in the default deploy.rb script offered by the spree deployment services ?

If not, should we add it ?
