wordwrap

Wraps words at a given limit. Wraps at whitespace, hyphens (-), and will wrap words that exceed the given limit. See package documentation for more details.

Example

lines := wordwrap.WordWrap("this test-string has been successfully wrapped successfully", 10)
for _, line := range lines {
	fmt.Println(line)

go-wordwrap's Issues

Refactor

The checks to prevent invalid wrapping due to a space following or reaching the end of the string are hack-y, and should not occur every iteration.

Some refactoring, and perhaps re-ordering, could probably make these checks unnecessary.

• Remove check if following rune is a space
• Remove check if char is the last rune in s

Extra empty line in wordwrap for spaces example

Possibly related to #1 and where new lines are created
