noderelax-blender-addon's Issues

Penalized crossed connections?

I use the 'arrange nodes' button pretty often, and there's a pretty good percentage of the time where the final positions chosen has one or more connection paths crossed with each other -- even if the starting position didn't have any crossed connections. Since having crossed connections is almost always worse than not having them, it would be nice if node relax could penalize that in some way so that it would not be the preferred way of arranging nodes unless it really provides a significant layout benefit.

(awesome addon, btw! <3 )

[enhancement] Respect node frames

I have some humongous node trees that I tried arranging with this addon, and I noticed that it doesn't pay any attention to the frames.

This would be way more useful if it did, as currently it only makes sense to use it on simple node trees.

After arranging (with tweaked and optimized settings):

EDIT:
Perhaps this can work by recursively arranging the nodes; first the ones in the innermost frame, then the frame that contains that, (treating contained frames as whole nodes).

Context Region issue?

I saw this comment during refactoring: "When window maximized the region becomes None, which gives error"

Your current workaround is to basically cancel the operator for this situation, but I honestly can't reproduce the steps. How does it get to this error, and on what Blender versions?

[enhancement] GPU Acceleration

Currently, it goes quite slow when using on large node trees.
I think that to help with this perhaps GPU acceleration should be implemented.
