php-magazine's Issues

Coming soon

For version 1.0.0 of this platform will be added:

  • Administration panel
  • Push Notifications (One Signal)
  • Newsletter (MailChimp)
  • Improvements in SEO and pages accessibility

The most complex part of the platform is already done, you can test it in its beta version. However, this is not enough, I will continue working to add the above mentioned features.

[Request] Browser Support

Due to my obligations outside of this project I have not been able to check the compatibility with different browsers, I have added a compatibility message that looks like this:

Unsupported browser

For this message to appear to the user, it would mean that some or many features are not compatible with the browser, so we would have to try the demo with a tool like BrowserStack. This is not possible for me because in addition to my other obligations and projects, I am developing the missing features to release version 1.0.0 so I would appreciate your help if you want to contribute to this project.

Instructions:

To add a new browser you must locate the request_init.php file in the assets/includes path, once there you can edit the $supported_browsers array and add a new browser just by adding a new array inside, with the browser name and minimum supported version. To add this you should consider the following:

  1. The name must be in a list of browsers detected by the DeviceDetector library and coincide exactly, for example: if you put Google Chrome as the browser name which tries to add in the $supported_browsers array but is listed only as Chrome, the algorithm will simply ignore this and not cause the desired effect.
  2. The minimum version must be tested with all or most of the features of the platform, it is not enough to just test the main page, it would be of great help, but not enough to be added as a minimum supported version for such a browser.
  3. Consider starting by editing the list already in the array by modifying only the minimum supported version.

List of detected browsers:
