Two pptrs?

Start pos randomizer, length randomizer

Start second pointer traveling when first pointer has reached halfway through the sample window.

Loud weird behavior with small length. Might be sorted by smoothing out ADC.

One controls playhead, other controls length (capped by end)

Increase or decrease rate at which pointer increases (or decreases in Reverse Mode)

Add ring modulator feature

Round the incoming ADC value to closest of some discrete values to remove wild wiggling of the ADC output value.

Ensure that the fade_in_mark and fade_out_mark vars always have the same distance to pptr_start and pptr_end.

When reverse mode is enabled and pptr_end is out of bounds of the sample array, there is some undefined behavior. This is likely due to wiggling within the ADC output.

Hear incoming sound while recording/not playing back.

Show starting position and length

Ensure that crossfading works for reverse mode as well.
