niceos's Issues

_config.h

line 31: export MAKEFLAGS="-j${MAKE_NUM_OF_THREATS}"

shouldn't that be "THREADS"

also I think there is a better way to do that (now if I could just find it - a couple of weeks ago I saw something, and its available on RPiOS, so Debian)

its equivalent to: cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep "^processor" | wc -l

yeah, found it: export MAKEFLAGS="-j$(nproc)"

on that note, I prefer to have my gui responsive, so I always use nproc - 1, if you dont care about GUI response (even on console) then nproc + 1 is optimal (they are threads anyway)

EDIT: or maybe I should just read the top of the file before posting "issue" ...

Unclarity in the README

You can do it, try it and make NiceOS your last Linux distribution ever!

Do what, please? Try the OS? But that is what the sentence proceeds to say . . . I would suggest a correction, were it not that I do not know the intended meaning.

Good luck with your project!

EDITED because, er, I forgot to mark the first sentence as a quotation. Indeed, let me now add the following. Now that I come to look at the sentence again (the quoted sentence), I . . er . . understand it!

Support for other architectures

Would be cool to run these commands and get qemu-arm running with Linux and BusyBox arm binaries.

export NICE_ARCH=arm
export NICE_PRESET=minimal
make build
make cmd

Busybox build fails on Arch

Attempting to build on Arch but make build fails.
