browsersync-ssi's Issues

Action required: Greenkeeper could not be activated 🚨

🚨 You need to enable Continuous Integration on all branches of this repository. 🚨

To enable Greenkeeper, you need to make sure that a commit status is reported on all branches. This is required by Greenkeeper because it uses your CI build statuses to figure out when to notify you about breaking changes.

Since we didn’t receive a CI status on the greenkeeper/initial branch, it’s possible that you don’t have CI set up yet. We recommend using Travis CI, but Greenkeeper will work with every other CI service as well.

If you have already set up a CI for this repository, you might need to check how it’s configured. Make sure it is set to run on all new branches. If you don’t want it to run on absolutely every branch, you can whitelist branches starting with greenkeeper/.

Once you have installed and configured CI on this repository correctly, you’ll need to re-trigger Greenkeeper’s initial pull request. To do this, please delete the greenkeeper/initial branch in this repository, and then remove and re-add this repository to the Greenkeeper App’s white list on Github. You'll find this list on your repo or organization’s settings page, under Installed GitHub Apps.

Includes don't work without a space before closing -->

Currently in v0.2.4 this works:

<!--#include virtual="./includes/footer.inc" -->

But, if I remove the space before the closing --> then it doesn't:

<!--#include virtual="./includes/footer.inc"-->

Would be great if this handy module didn't require this extra space similar to how nginx and Apache does it with SSI, so we can run code from Apache projects with browsersync-ssi as well.

Please, add tutorial in readme

Sönke, thanks for your job. Please write small tutorial in readme. I try to use your plugin. I'm sure it's great, but it does not work for me. And there are some guys on the Stackoverflow with the same problem. But there are no answers. Please help.

There my server base directory is on the project root, on the same level as a gulpfile. And simplified config is as follows:

app/
    themes/
        my-theme/
            _src/
                _pages/
                    _inc/
                        header.html
                    index.html
gulpfile.js

gulpfile.js:

…
var browserSync = require('browser-sync').create();
var reload      = browserSync.reload;
var ssi         = require('browsersync-ssi');

…

var browserSyncTask = function() {
    gulp.watch('./app/themes/my-theme/_src/_pages/**/*.html', reload);
    …
}

gulp.task('server:html', () => {
  browserSync.init({
    server: {
      baseDir: './',
      middleware: ssi({
        baseDir: __dirname + '/',
        ext: '.html'
      })
  });
  browserSyncTask();
});

index.html

…

<!--#include virtual="/app/themes/my-theme/_src/_pages/_inc/header.html" -->

…

When gulp runs, the ssi discription stays as it is without including "header.html". Hope, you'll help. Thanks in advance

Publish version 2.4

Hi! Thanks for this cool module.

Current latest version on npm is 2.3, but this repository has some updates (#4, #5).
Would you update version and publish to npm?

What about includes?

It is working well ,however, I would like to know how to get it work with includes?

i.e.
