Question : What it the reason for the repo symlink ?

I think I have grapsed how it works... mostly !

What it the reason for the repo symlink ?

Failed to install

Got an error in the following step

➜  ~ dot checkout -f --
fatal: Not a git repository: '/Users/yujunz/.config/dotgit/repo'

I think it is probably because it is a bare repo and repo is not available.

Not working as intended?

When I fork your repo and follow your instructions, bin , ignore and share don't appear in the ~/.config/dotgit/ directory on my machine.

Thus, things like dot profile and dot files are utterly broken.

Please look into this.

git-profile compatibility with osx

On osx, dot-profile seems broken:
