Welcome to my basic recipe website project! This project is part of my learning journey through The Odin Project, focusing on applying and reinforcing my HTML skills. The goal is to construct a simple website featuring a collection of recipes, navigable through a central index page.
This project serves as a practical exercise to:
- Implement foundational HTML techniques.
- Organize content using HTML documents.
- Link multiple pages via hyperlinks.
The recipe website is structured with a main index page that links to individual recipe pages. It's designed using only HTML, which means the aesthetic is very basic—emphasizing structure over style.
- Index Page: The landing page that links to all available recipes.
- Recipe Pages: Separate pages for each recipe accessible from the index page.
index.html
- The main page.recipes/
spaghetti.html
apple-pie.html
vegetable-soup.html
To view the website, follow these steps:
- Download the project files to your local machine.
- Open the
index.html
file in a web browser to access the main page. - Click on any recipe link to view the recipe details.
Upon completion of this project, I will have demonstrated the following skills:
- Basic understanding of HTML and web structure.
- Ability to create and manage multiple HTML pages.
- Use of relative links to connect various documents.
This project is an initial step into web development, focusing on HTML. In future iterations, I plan to incorporate CSS to improve the visual appeal and later add interactivity with JavaScript.
- Add CSS: Style the pages for a more visually appealing layout.
- Enhance Functionality: Integrate JavaScript for dynamic user interactions.
Thank you for visiting my project! Any feedback or suggestions for improvement would be greatly appreciated as I continue to learn and enhance my web development skills.
