Can you let me know the exact steps you use to set up the environment in which this happens?
You can see exactly how those 3 and 9 test counts are calculated by reading the code above.

Looking at the failures, they're only when using nose, so it would be good to know exactly what version of nose you have installed, along with other python packages, and indeed the version of python.

This happens in a Debian unstable chroot with only the minimal packages installed.

nose is at version 1.3.7 and Python is 2.7.13.

If you can send me the simplest possible set of instructions to reproduce this (ie: iso I can use to create VM, etc), bearing in mind I mainly work on Macs, then I'd be interested in trying to reproduce...

@fladi - if you're still seeing this, see the resolution on #12 : make sure you're using the latest version of pytest to run the sybil tests, 4.x is required for the tests to pass.
