This is the source code of the Tidal Unofficial application for Windows 10 (currently PC and Phone). It is a community based implementation of the Tidal app for the Windows platforms.

The app is built completely in C++ (mostly 11/14 flavor, with some bits of experimental C++17 code for await support).

how to build

download dependencies

Go to the folder /dependancies and execute the init.sh script. It will clone the cpp rest sdk (used for json parsing), date.h (used for date representations) and UWP-LocalDB-CPP (for local storage)

build the project

The file /src/Common/Api/Config.cpp is explicitly gitignored. You must obtain an api token from and get the resources and apis urls used by Tidal by yourself and implement the symbols declared in Config.h

Please feel free to submit issues, pull requests etc. on this repo.

[Missing Feature] Artist View : Radio

Artist radio feature is missing

External USB DAC

Hey Simon,
First of this is amazing and something JayZ should really get off his cheatin' ass and give you some $$$$ for.
Is it possible to build in the tidal sound output settings? See image below. I think this creates a more direct sound path and bypasses the Windows mixer. In the desktop app this allows me to send just music direct to an external DAC and not be affected by system or audio from other apps.

WP10 login issues

Still having login issue from WP10 device. Account credentials work with W10 on SurfacePro4, but cannot login with WP10. Has anyone had a chance to look into this yet? Thanks in advance for the help!

[Bug] Clear button on storage settings does nothing

There doesn't seem to be any way to delete the imported or cached files, either by track, album. Pressing the CLEAR buttons in the storage settings does nothing at all. I think this is a huge problem - a deal breaker.

I would really love to see chromecast support, to Chromecast Audio. Is that possible?

Is the app dead?

I can't seem to find it in the store anymore. I guess it may very well be since it hasn't been updated for a year or so but is there a reason that it has been pulled from the store?

Xbox One lossless issue

Hi, great work, thanks a lot. Xbox beta works fine but the option lossless does not stay activated. It jumps back to hi. Any idea's?

Cannot login

I have a copy of Tidal Unofficial running perfectly on my Surface Pro. Same app will not allow me to log in on HP elite desktop. Both running Windows 10. Message returned at login attempt is: "Login or password is invalid" Obviously I am using the same login on both machines.

User session is not validated : if the user log in on too many devices, the web requests silently fail, and the user is presented blank content screens

I maintain some playlists. Every time I want to import a modified playlist the APP imports the whole playlist. This is a bit annoying with large playlists.

Windows 10 Education compatibility

I've got Windows 10 Education and i can't install this app.

[Feature request] Play non-Tidal locally stored music

Your app is great; Tidal is great but it is not as good as your app. Tidal is missing too much music. For example, it has Sufjan Stevens' "Illinoise" but not "The Avalanche", which is outtakes etc from the same sessions. As a matter of the technology, there seems to be no reason why your app could not play music from the WP music library. It should be possible to "shuffle all" across both the Tidal music and the local music library. Maybe it could create playlists combining both but I note there might be an issue with Tidal's design expecting such playlists to be synchronized with the user's web account. If you have concern about whether such a feature might violate Tidal's developer license I would be happy to review those terms and give you my view. I do not have a Tidal developer account so I cannot access the developer license. I have reviewed the standard license terms. Those terms explicitly mention third party applications and user content. There is no restriction on a third party application playing user content.

[Feature request] Download on contextual menu in lists

• When browsing music (albums, playlists etc), long press should open a menu with possibility of downloading.

Not able to download playlist

Crash

Recently, the app has started to crash when I try to play. It opens, I can select albums etc, but when I try to play, it closes down.
I see that it updated to 1.2.0.0 9. august. I also updated to Windows anniversary almost the same time, and I have also experienced other problems, like screen redraw.

Hi!

Nice app, my only concern is then I download load my big playlist, the app "locks" it self down after a day or two. I is not possible to start the app and the apps message is "waiting" and is greyed out. Both in app list and on startsscreen.. Only solution is to reinstall.. And ideas? :)

Scrobble listened songs to last.fm

Since Microsoft is gonna let developers submit UWA apps onto the Xbox store later this month. Is it possible you might submit Tidal?

[Bug] import option on already imported tracks / playlists / albums

An already imported song/album will still have an import option which will import it yet again. TU needs an indicator that something is already imported (gray out the import option?).

Support for the new master quality

What would be required to support the new "Master" quality?

install Tidal in SD Card

I try to install Tidal on SD Card on Windows 10 mobile (Lumia 950 insider fast ring), and when I play any song in streaming (lossless quality), I get a lot of pauses (I suppose that any kind of problem with buffer may occur).

Obviosly I try to install it in SD because of space (128 GB)

shuffle always on

I'm using the app on a Lumia 650 Dual SIM, fully updated.
When playing albums or playlists, streaming or local files, the app skips songs as if it's on shuffle, but it also doesn't play all the songs. For example, it plays 4 or 5 songs then stops as if it reached the end of the playlist.

No streaming no downloads!

I just downloaded this app and I love its style, but I'm not able to stream or download anything. If I press Play nothing happens. Is this project still alive?

This was a closed issue with release 1.2.1.0.
But I have this issue right now with that version.

Installation Error on XBOX ONE X

Hello, first of all thank you for your good work, on Win10 the app is amazing!
On XBOX ONE X, I receive a 0x803FB005 error when I try to install the software.
Already tried to re-download it, rebooot XBOX and so on...

Can you please give a check?

Some request related to dowmloaded items:

• It should be possible to remove downloaded albums, playlists etc, one by one not just all by clearing the full cache.

Download stops

Possible bug:
Download stops under lockscreen and when leaving app.
Have to leave app and start again to resume download.

Windows Mobile 10 on Lumia 950.

No longer works on xbox one, refuses to launch

Have tried reinstalled and everything, refuses to open Tidal Unofficial App, has it been removed from xbox store? Seize and desist?

cant log in

Please fix this. I cannot log in using my credentials on win phone. Tried to change my password with no luck. When I try to log in using facebook, the app crashes

Can't download tracks

Hi Simon,

first of all this is a great app. But sadly I am unable to download songs. My Lumia 950 is not being recognized as a offline device in the Tidal admin. So imported songs won't get dowloaded. Am i doing something wrong?

My Music - favorite sorting

Hi there. Great app!

Is there a way to have different options for sorting favorites in My Music? e.g. Albums sorted by Date Added, Artist Name, Album Name (as in the native app).
