hi steve please can you tell me if it is possible to get osvr server working without acually owning a headset, would it be possible to get it working on flat monitor without going through the headset driver installation ?
maybe in conjunction with steamvr nulld-driver which outputs to a monitor bypassing the need of a headset..
does OSVR possess such a capacity ?
the idea is stream to a phone not possessing a capacity to be an OSVR client but nonetheless with kinect fusion + openhmd + osvr kinect (+opentrack) getting all the tracking needed etc..
is it possible theoretically to pull such a feat ?
i mean having a prior knowledge of VR next to zero i have done a lot of research in this sense and i think that i have indentified every technical way there is to this date and i have to admit that your work is pretty impressive!!
OSVR is a tough one and i know that i can spend a lot of time trying to achieve something that i don't even know is technically possible..
so please sir there is nobody better suited than you to answer this question thx in advance :)
ps: i am also interested in unity 3d.. and just to add that Google-wise there is no discussion giving any clues about this..

There is an open source project which combine multiple kinects for a better tracking : https://github.com/mvm9289/multikinect
Unfortunatly, it's an old project which has been discontinued and it supports only VRPN.

The position tracking of the KinectV2 is much better than the original one provided wih teh HDK2 OSVR.
The Kinect is at a great distance, But i can not adjust the forward/backward/right/left direction. If i advance, it goes to the left. If i retreat, it goes o the right. if i go right, it goes ahead. I followed some examples, use "osvr_reste_yaw.exe" which directs HDK2, bu not the direction of the Kinect.
With OSVRTrackerView.exe, i have the movement of the hands in the right way, not the head. i use OSVR Rutime on windows10. Do you have the solution? Thank You.

I have downloaded the latest version of je_nourish_kinect.
ON server start, the plugin loads in but there is no GUI appearing and am not convinced it is picking up the Kinect v1 (which Windows does recognise).
I have copied the 64bit plugin to C:\Program Files\HDK-Software-Suite\OSVR-Core\bin\osvr-plugins-0
Any ideas of this issue?

The new version of the All-In-One Installer (Beta 0.7) is no longer restricted to 32-bit. I believe the default installation includes a 64-bit version of the OSVR-Core.
I have tried V1 and V2 and have the same issue with both. The Tracker view shows everything fine, but when I launch Steam VR, the forward/back and left/right are reversed. As in, moving left and right moves forward and back in the headset, and moving forward and back results in left and right movement. I have tried using the "recenter" button on the Kinect popup, as well as the reset_yaw that is provided with OSVR.
Hi, Awesome work on the plugin have finally got this set up and working but when OSVR server launches the plugin I'm seeing 98% cpu utilisation mostly from OSVR server.
My pc isn't top top spec but I have an I5 3570K and am running a 1060 with 16gb I would expect it to at least handle it. is this normal or is it something I've done setting it up?
can I use osvr only for positional tracking when using ivry (a program similar to trinus vr)
I need help with the whole processes of doing this, I'm a noob and need guidance on what to do.
This will be a problem with firstBody() and the code to choose the most relevant skeleton.

first of all thank you very much for this plugin!
Unfortunately im having problems to use the kinect plugin in combination with the Leap Motion SteamVR driver. The Vive controllers are akwys stuttering and it seems that the Kinect plugin and the Leap Driver are trying to set the Controller position at the same time.
Is it possible to deactivate the Position and orientation Tracking of the Hands by Kinect so it is only used for the Head Tracking and the SteamVR drivers can work as they should?
Any help would be awesome.
