I have an HTC One (M7) and I have not muted any apps, but I do not get any pop-ups at all. I don't even know where to start to try to solve the problem. I mostly want this to provide pop-ups for texts since my current app doesn't have them, but none of the notifications are popping up for any app.
Is there a way to hide the heads up notification for Whatsapp on Android 5.0?
Whatsapp shows the message content in the notification bar but I don't want to see the message there. I just want the notification icon in the top bar.
Device: Xperia SP
Android: 4.3
Heads-up: latest from Google Play
Description: I know it's only one "if" in the code. When user disable "unlock device" feature and user have notification on lockscreen after only tap - notifiaction disappears. In my opinion it should stay as long as user define in settings or as long when user swipe out them.
I need an option that keep notifications on status bar. And we can dismiss them when pull down notification area. I usually forget what notified by swiping them all away. I think other people need it like me.
Some other apps have that option. Why we don't :)
I think either swiping, or the cross at the top could be changed to mean that notifications from this particular app should remain silenced for a while, which should preferably be set in the settings.
Massaging apps are real annoyance when you are watching a video, if you keep getting notifications.
Using rooted Note 3 N9005 with stock recovery and stock rom 4.4.2.
Having "only on lockscreen" ticked the notification still shows on the homescreen.
While "block current app" is not ticked, I will not receive audible notification from Gmail messages.I do receive audible notification from other software updates though.
While we wait on multiple notification support. Please add color assignment options. For example important notifications would be red, SMS blue, and others white, but let user choose each apps notification color.
Thanks
"I'm using my music player (Google Play Music), and the settings say block current app, but I still get notified about the current song. It's rather annoying, and I don't know how to make it stop. I don't want to disable notifications entirely, just the now playing ones while I'm on the music app."
Love this app but I only got 1 notification on lock screen no matter how many notifications that I received. Older ones will be replaced once new one comes in. I unchecked "compact mode" but it does not help. Any ideas?
Thanks for the wonderful app but I have a problem using this and acdisplay.
I have disabled the notifications from showing on lockscreen due to privacy issues, I don't want anyone reading my messages before entering my password.
However when I receive a notification acdisplay shows up before the lockscreen so heads up fails to realize that the phone is still locked and shows up the notification at the acdisplay screen something which I don't want as it's displayed while the phone is still locked and anyone might still see it.
Thank you for this amazing app and this is the only thing refraining me from using it so I'd really appreciate if there is anything that could be done!
Hi all, I've just found this app and it's really great, with lots of options.
The only issue I have is that, everytime I restart my phone (Galaxy Note 2, Android 4.4.2) I have to enable the notifications again.
Anyway, thanks for the app.
I use an app called MarkAsRead (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samay.markasread2) for Gmail alerts that replaces the Gmail notification (by quickly dismissing it and displaying its own alert) that adds a "Mark as Read & Archive" button to the expanded notification. I have noticed that these notifications do not appear with your Heads Up app even if they are enabled in Heads Up. Any ideas? Android 4.4.3 / HTC One M7 GPe / Notification Listener Service
Why is my "Swipe to remove from drawer" option disabled. When I swipe a notification off the screen, it reappears after some time, until I open it to read.
if possible could you please add a setting option "popup on screen off and screenlock only when received a notification" the meaning is when screen unlock or phone using don't popup any notification
It creates the pop-up and turns the screen on, but then times out according to what I have the screen time set for in the phone settings.
Also, it turns the screen on even un my pocket
Galaxy S5 4.4
I have a Galaxy Note 4 on Version with whatever the latest system install is. This app works as stated when the screen is on, but not when the screen is off unless I have the turn on screen option chosen, which defeats the purpose in me using this to save battery life by not turning on my screen when I don't need to. is there not a way to get only the notification screen to pop up when my display is off? That would save me a lot of battery power given that I have a Super AMOLED screen.
I realize that this might be an issue with Android and / or Textra. I use Textra as the default SMS app, and it does not trigger Heads-Up notifications unless Normal (+notifications from old apps) is checked. I was hoping that SMS would fall under Important.
I am running Kit Kat on SG5. I have the option set in Dev Admin to turn screen off after dismissing notification, but no dice. Everything else about the app is extremely solid! Thanks for all the work!
hi
when i recieve a notification and heads-up displays it, if i pull down the quick settings part of them are covered by the heads-up notification.
is it possible to adjust the overlay such that quick tiles are on top of the notification?
thanks
First of all: thanks for the great app, it works and looks amazing.
Sadly I have to report a small bug that I have encountered.
Following situation:
I receive a notification (e.g. WhatsApp)
I click on the notification to open the message and it displays correctly (within Whatsapp)
From there if I wish to go to the home screen by pressing the home button, it doesn't work the first time. It is necessary to press it twice to really go to home.
This happens with device permissions enabled (device manager) or disabled, makes no difference.
I'm on Nexus 5 with root and Android 4.4.4.
Thanks a lot for the help and keep up the great work!
I dont want to swipe the headsup notification to dismiss my actual notification. So, I enjoy the setting to opt out of dissmis notification on swipe.
If not set to dismiss nnotificatios after swipe (how i like) headsup notifications regenerate immediately after swiping away or timing out. This happens until screen off, or else it never goes away. it just keeps poping up the headsup notification over and over, blocking the screen. it happens repeatedly across different roms - v4.4.4.
Is this something I could change somehow.
Would you like me to try an "adb debug" log for you?
A suggestion: add notification popup-ups for apps running in the background and constantly sitting in the main drop down menu, i.e. ongoing notifications for apps.
Hello, using a stock Xperia Z3c. I'm loving your app. The only thing that bugs me is the fact that the icons look bad except on the original white color theme. Please either invert the icon color when using a darker theme or think of something to solve this.
I get a red message that Pushbullet mirroring is blocking Heads-up. Even after disabling Pushbullet I still get the error. They use to work just fine together, but now heads-up does not work. What happened?
There should be an option to dismiss only the headsup notification not the one which is in notification area. I hope you will add this feature too in your next update. I am coming from another app which allows this feature.
I receive a message, the screen goes on, and then the notification disappears but the screen keeps on until 30sec have passed (which is what I set to lock the phone when it is not using) I have already set the app as a device manager, but it does not work anyway.
After i try all the answer to the porblems in the answering page, i didnt success in turning on the screen when massage recived.
I deleted and install again, saw the service in apps running, enabled the heads up in settings in privacy.
Marked all priority in settings....
Nothing helps...do you support lollipop?
Right now it seems to "ignore" Lux and shows the regular colors. Artem's HeadsUp works with Lux so it seems possible to do it, but it has a lot less features.
I love the app. I now finally have pop up notifications of Hangouts and emails. However, at night I use DayDream and use my phone as an alarm clock showing the time all night. My problem is everytime something happens that is silenced by DayDream at night, I get a notification that wakes me up from the light of the notification. Is there a way you could putin a Night Mode option. Something that says stop notifying between certain times? This way I do not have to disable the app at night? Thanks.
i am not sure if this is determined by my texting app but it would be nice to be able to remove the "1 unread message" from the bottom of my pop-up. if that is in your control, it would be a request.
when I clicked a lock screen notification, it opens the right app, but when i tried to go back to the home screen and pressed the home button, it happens nothing. i need to press a second time to go back home screen.
I like your app very much, Hope you can fix this bug soon. THX!
When I get a notification the brightness of my phone remains low and won't let me even open the notification, because if I push on the icon I get off the phone. How can I fix?
