eglGetError() calls within error messages have the incorrect format specifier %s attached to them, which causes a segfault. In one case the call on eglGetError() is missing.

I have not been able to track down the source of this yet, but I have noted a possible race condition around the startup which causes a BadMatch error from X11 when running this code. This was running on 2012-12-16-wheezy-raspbian.

The EGL implementation on Raspberry PI seems to be threaded, as valgrind reports a number of problems within threads during startup. It is likely that the problem lies in the system libraries; valgrind does report quite a few problems with them.

I first ran into this problem when trying to develop my own GLES code based on this project. With my project the problem happens every time. I went back and reproduced this problem with the code as published here, although in that case it occurs far less often. Adding a 1s delay before the call on XGetWindowAttributes in render() causes the problem to go away.
