a new blogging experience
I'm currently working on a post and it's path is post?refId=a362fd3bffdc7eecde1838916fb8f4c267f5672b3774bd86dd23dce9dac72bee
Is this really necessary? It would be great for the default format to be something like username/Title-Of-Post-Seperated-By-Dashes
. And if you already have a post with the same title it could automatically get a -1
at the end for the URL or something. I don't imagine it would be too difficult too implement and it would drastically increase the aesthetic and semantic value of the URL's.
Given the visual beauty of the site, I think it's very fitting with the site's general vibe to have gorgeous URL's :)
whats the best way to get in touch?
It would be great if Epiphany had a mechanism for finding other blogs or posts, perhaps using the current tag system or a search bar.
After clicking PROFILE and then + NEW POST I am taken to the page where I can start a new draft. However, I noticed that the Posted and Last Modified dates are totally off. They appear for me as:
Posted: 1969-12-31. Last Modified: 1969-12-31.
This is (as mentioned) for a new post which has not been published yet.
Screenshot attached.
Although the tag does appear, and the feature 'works', it's pretty standard when you input something like that for the input box to clear.
Websites prove their identity via certificates, which are valid for a set time period. The certificate for epiphany.pub expired on 9/5/2020.
There should be automatic alerts in place to prevent this from happening. I only found out because someone contacted me on Twitter that they wanted to use content from an article of mine, but it was inaccessible. I taught them how to ignore SSL cert errors in Chrome for the meantime.
Is there any chance of further languages be added? I'd love to be able to have snippets in lots of languages but I'm not sure how difficult that is to implement.
I think a lot of flexibility on language choice would be a huge boon to Epiphany's utility and appeal. Imagine if we could run small SQL snippets using in-browser sqlite?! Or if I could implement a small DSL in Clojure and then use that for the rest of my snippets?! (ie, the context of one snippet could be carried on).
Just ideas, not sure which of these if any are doable.
I was wondering if I could share my 'profile' or a catalog of my posts by using 'https://epiphany.pub/@seisvelas/', but instead attempting to access that URL I get the message 'no content found.'
Not sure if there is a different way to do this, but either way I imagine this is not the intended behavior when someone accesses that URL! Haha.
