Loading a template with long resource names, it is difficult to tell what resource is which as the name is cut off.

I'm happy to take a look if you want to mark this as #upforgrabs.

I'm working on a lot of ARM templates currently, both creating new ones, but also cleaning up old ones that were made by people who didn't really understand them and weren't given time to. In my attempt to document this stuff, I've come across this project, which is awesome. I'm wondering if there's any chance of an API? I may work on building it into a pipeline or something to generate diagrams when ARM templates are updated, but I'm not sure if I'll be given time to do that.

Anyway, thought I'd ask. Thanks for maintaining this!

Please consider taking hues from the Old UX when you resurrect this project in VS Code

Hi Just a question. Why did this project stopped ? I assume its stopped due to no commits . And why did you move to V2 ? V1 was quite a good job already.

I've made some improvements since our last version, such as progress indicator and designer-editor navigation. I also fixed the SVG rendering bug in Firefox. Please check it out and deploy it :)

Not sure if I'm doing some wrong. As per my screenshot this is what happens when I paste my reasonably large template. The assets are too small to see and also they are very muddled and not positioned well.

@msshli the visualizer looks really great! I would like to fork it. What license is it using?

If you add a regular template from the Azure Quickstart Templates; for example: https://github.com/Azure/azure-quickstart-templates/tree/master/101-vm-simple-linux the diagram is not properly displayed

As i browse the Azure Quickstart Template site i find an interesting template and click to view it visually.
(https://github.com/Azure/azure-quickstart-templates/tree/master/docker-simple-on-ubuntu) using the Visualize button.

Looking at the visuals i want to go back... i press the browser back button....
Nothing happens and i'm stuck on the page, and it doesn't let me browse back.

Would be sweet if it just used the same as MS SQL

As a Infrastructure Developer,
I would like the tool to remember the resource positions in the ARMViz,
So I don't have to re-organize it when switching views between the viz and the json views.

When there's a CRLF inside a JSON string, the load fails, with a Console error like

Unexpected token 
 in JSON at position 18323

I think this is invalid for JSON, but it's valid for ARM Templates (I found out about it by watching demos from ARM team)

I created a simple way to deploy Azure Functions; and I was leveraging the visualizer to show the components. Did you change the URL to display ARM.json files from GitHub?

I can't find this URL documented anywhere as well.

The certificate for armviz.io is using the wildcard *.azurewebsites.net which is causing certificate error warnings in modern browsers due to cert common name mismatch.
