It has become impossible to install the extension for new users. This problem is consistent across platforms. Trying to install the extension results in this error message: "Could not load extension icon 'imanges/icon_96.png"

When installing yesterday on a mid-2013 Macbook Air running Mountain Lion there was no problem at all, so I think it is a Mavericks issue.

I have about 263 notes. Incremental searching can get really slow with delays of up to 20 seconds after each keypress. I"ve tested this on Windows and Linux, on CPUs varying from Core2 Duo, through Core2 Quad Q9450 to Core i5 mobile on Chrome 18 and earlier versions. Would it be possible to build in an idle handler, so that it only updates the search results when I stop typing? This would greatly improve the apparent interactivity.

If there is an easy way -- and there may not be, I'm ignorant of the Chrome extensions format -- to package this as an app rather than an extension, it would be quite useful. Apps can be launched from the OS menu, via the commandline, or from a quicklaunch bar, run as a full window, have their own class and title (for window management), etc.

Pinned tabs are wonderful, but being able to run this as a standalone program would be quite useful.

Notes no longer save from the extension. If I add something to a note, close the popup, then reopen it, whatever I added is gone. I have to edit the notes from https://app.simplenote.com/ and that's really annoying me.

I had the webstore version until I was stupid enough to uninstall it. Since I can't install it from there, I followed the instructions from #15 (downloaded gsingh93's version) and followed the instructions from https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/getstarted#unpacked ....extension got installed but as I said above, the notes are NOT SAVING.

When installing on Mac OSX 10.6.8, Chrome Version 31.0.1650.63

Wish list:
1, shrink line spacing for reading more notes conveniently without always scrolling downwards
2, offer a right-side preview pane for reducing eye fatigue in reading too many animation of opening/closing notes

For several months now there has been a big problem....when I make changes to a note then click out of the extension, the changes are not saved at all. I have to go back to the index for it to save and then I can click out of the extension.

fairly new to Syncpad - in the middle of updating a note, the font size changed and all user controls disappeared - tried rebooting after nothing else worked but problem remains - can no longer even access my list of all notes - just the one I was on

@shatting, this is such a helpful extension. Thanks! Any chance you plan to add in a "find/replace" feature? This seems to be a key feature that would make it a fully-functional (but still simple) web-based text editor.

Please add a way to choose which folder notes are stored in (ideally they should be stored as plain file (json/yaml is fine). For example I could store them in a dropbox/google drive folder and have them backed up automatically or have them in my documents folder and have my backup program take care of it.

Published note did not nest a list, while the preview did.

Other people have mentioned this, but this isn't available from the Chrome webstore: there is still a problem with an invalid package. Are there plans to fix this, or has the project been abandoned?

Syncpad for simplenote does not support Chinese input in tab mode

I'm getting this error when attempting to install the Chrome Extension:

I would like to help with the Syncpad for Simplenote project, maintaining at least, possibly adding features as Simplenote continues to improve their product. Would you be willing to allow me into the project on github?

I kept retry to create note but the new note will be removed at once from the list once it's created. There're no more than 8 notes to be used. Is this true?
