Gift Genie aims to solve the problem of not knowing what to get someone for that special occasion. By entering in a few of the person's interests, Gift Genie will try to find you the closest match for that type of person. Products are retrieved from the database based on relevancy: the more criteria a gift matches, the higher it will appear on the list. Users also have the ability to create an account and build their own custom wishlists that they can share with friends and family.
What we have implemented:
- search for gifts & return a relevant list
- personal wishlists
- random gift selector
- currency conversion (external)
What we want to still implement:
- multiple lists per user
- private messaging
- tap into Amazon API
