with special interest I became aware of your repository here. It looks like a proof of concept connecting to the HeatApp! controlled heating controller or its OEM Version from Honeywell.

May I ask what whether you can share some insights you probably have about the API usage? I did some research and reverse engineering by myself with the objective to integrated the controller with my smarthome setup. But I am unfortunately stuck in understanding the communication concept at all and exchanging requests with the API.

As far as I understood, each API request need to be encrypted with a token provided by the controller in a kind of handshake (challenge) after gateway discovery. Can you share your knowledge about this processes?

Btw.: I have also created a support case at EBV electronic the suppliers of the HeatApp!, asking them whether they have interest to provide a public accessible API or at least some whether there are some strategic plans for supporting the device for current smarthome/IoT standards. I got a friendly response from them but only stating having no interest in this and also no plans.
