Creating a Fedora RPM for checkinstall

Hi,

I was unable to build checkinstall with the source on the checkinstall website (on a x86_64 Fedora 17 machine) but I now can thanks to your fork sevenjay. Thanks!

I would like to try to work towards packaging an RPM for Fedora and perhaps other distros.

I don't understand all the changes you made. I need to understand the differences between the original checkinstall source code and your fork. Would you (or any of your contributors) be interested in helping with this?
