i'm using HojaCalc to create a xls file and after I save the file and free the THojaCalc object the openoffice process is still running and if I try to execute the output file It won't open because there is already a process running.

there is a way to close the process?

thank you very much for this tool. It helps us a lot while importing Excel files. I have found one issue if one wants to import XLSX or oder XML based Excel files. Since the extension is not equal to "xls" the object tries to load OpenOffice, which, in some cases is not installed on the machine.

You would have to change line 676 to:

IF (copy(UpperCase(ExtractFileExt(m_strFileName)),1,4) = '.XLS') THEN

the function m_AmericanFormat := TFormatSettings.Create(lcid); is not avaible for COMPILER_12_UP but for COMPILER_14_UP

and Windows.LOCALE_NEUTRAL doesn't work on no english computers

replace Windows.LOCALE_NEUTRAL with MAKELCID(MAKELANGID(LANG_ENGLISH, SUBLANG_ENGLISH_US), SORT_DEFAULT)
