It would be great if the theme of the application matches the theme of the system. If I chose a dark theme in Win 10, the application would also use a dark theme.

This repository currently includes a PATENTS file which establishes a patent grant that is only valid under certain conditions. However, the GPLv3 (which is currently used by this project) already includes a more permissive patent grant. This means the provisions in the PATENTS file may not actually be binding; it's a legally gray area, since the two patent licenses contradict each other.

Moreover, the conditions defined in the PATENTS file may turn the software proprietary, in a way similar to Facebook's patent grant before they changed their licensing in late 2017. This can exclude certain people from using the software and may hinder Linux distributions from packaging it. (I'm aware Multrin doesn't support Linux yet, but it may happen eventually.)

Please consider dropping the PATENTS file to make the project's licensing clearer 🙂

I have two monitors and would like to have that feature.

As a user I might want to have multiple apps side by side so maybe it would be a good idea to add a split window option

It would be nice if after closing the tab, the application restored the original size as it was before adding to Multrin.

would be nice to be able to rename a tab.
overwrite the tab name (of the embedded window ) with an own/user-defined name.

Try on both 0.4.1 and 0.4 version with all softwares I'm using on a Windows 10 1809 PC.
Multirin only showed top task bar when I moved a chrome window on it, which means only chrome can be added.

It'd be nice for the application to use win.flashFrame or dock.bounce when one of the windows warrants attention, and have its tab have an indicator if it's not currently focused.

One use case for this would be to create a multrin of different messaging applications.

Unfortunately, icons suddenly stopped working on Windows. Will need to investigate this in extract-file-icon.

When I click on maximize icon, chrome get detach from the application itself and as you can see in the image, it also have some kind of black border around it.

When right click on the Multrin's Tab bar, it will open the menu.
However this menu would not response your operation, and clicking on other place won't let it go.

Only Press ESC or Alt key could close it.

Second, my display resolution is 3840x2160, DPI scale is 150%.
multrin window display is clear, but there is something wrong, see the gif

There have been some dislocations. multrin does not work properly.

If I change the multrin compatibility, "Change high DPI settings"→ "High DPI scaling override" to System. Multrin is working properly. But the window display is blur and so is the font.

I need your feedback.

I don't know if this a bug from Multrin app or a window fault, but when we detach the application, it takes few seconds for the icon to show back in the icon tray.

1. I have opened the Visual Studio Code app and Multrin app.

2. I have moved the VS Code app inside Multrin app and then the icon disappear from icon tray.

3. I detach the VS Code app from Multrin app and then the VS Code icon didn't show up back in the icon tray immediately.

When minimizing Multrin, the focused tab remains visible. If the tab (now a window) is selected and moved, it detaches from Multrin.

Steps to reproduce:
1 - Drag Discord into Multrin's window
2 - Try to resize Multrin horizontally
3 - Discord resizes outside of Multrin

Note: I have not tried this with other applications, however Firefox appears to be fine (there's a white border around the window from Multrin that prevents you from resizing it, and Discord doesn't have this white border). The Discord window also apparently resets itself when moving the main Multrin window.

EDIT: This bug also affects Spotify, but not Windows' File Explorer and IntelliJ IDEA. Perhaps this is an issue with Electron apps?

Any plan support MacOS?

I tried reinstalling a few times and the portable version also has the same problem.

The current window inside temporarily disappears when holding / dragging a tab. Is this a bug?

Hi, i'm a little newbie to Node.JS and Yarn, so these are some steps not yet covered in installation instructions (Windows 10 here):

• Yarn needs be installed.

• At some point it required and Elevated Powershell (i don't remember which one).

• Requires a Github personal token (with no special privileges).
  On the shell before running yarn:
  set GH_TOKEN=....

I would like to suggest some changes / features :

• removing the border on the side (the red in the picture)
• have an option to make the top menu invisible (make it visible when the mouse is on it and / or with the alt key

Version 0.3.3 has problems with Chinese labels, and Chinese will become garbled.
And it has the same problem with notation.

The window blinks when you add windows

This feature request might take a long run to complete but worth of shot.

Every application has its own header, and using the application for example Visual Studio Code inside Multirun can take a lot of space in the header.

Same goes for any other application, the idea is to merge the application header and Multirun header together so that it can occupy less space.

Also having these button at two places is also kinda weird.

This feature could also be better if you can set which apps are always grouped together. So for example we can make a preset for Word and Excel, or another one for just file explorer and so on.

Sorry I can't stop having ideas, Multrin is great.

When you have multiple desktops open on windows, I had 4 open at the time, you can place a window inside multrin even when it is not on the active window.

Second, the bug: Say I group slack into multrin with another window, then click the tray icon for slack, slack becomes focused, but multrin sill thinks the other window is selected, so I have to click the slack tab, THEN click the other tab.

Hardware: Dell Latitude + Universal Dock + external displays

The positioning of of apps on the notebooks screen (with 1920x1080 at 125%) isn't correct.
Scaling to 100% fixes the positioning, but makes everthing to small to read.

我加入了多个应用进入窗口，当我缩小窗口直至超过了其中一个应用的最小窗口限制时，multrin 会自动把窗口锁定成一个固定尺寸，我无法再次修改 multrin 的窗口大小。

是否可以动态适应不同的应用大小呢？切换窗口时，不会改变某个应用的大小？

在切换选项卡的时候，Multrin内的程序会闪屏。

Drag an UWP app into the window, drag the window around, the UWP app disappeared.

It would be nice if you could rename window names, so I can tell a Multrin instance from another.

I currently have taskbar on the left, so I can read the text of every window.

There are hacky ways to do it, like with Autohotkey, but that's not the point.
