android-tools's Issues

Shell stops with "Device disconnected." message

I can't start shell version of remotejs on Windows 7 x64 Python 2.7.

That what I've got after running remotejs.py:

RemoteJS - Remote JavaScript Console for Android.

Please wait...

Target device is 015F27681800B00D.

Device disconnected.

There is a small delay between "Please wait..." and "Target device..." which can be removed by -n command option. Probably it caused by host package upload.

No package appeared on target device.

adb logcat works fine. I even see default browser's log messages.

I've tried this on emulator with android 2.2 and on Motorola DEFY with android 2.1 on it. Didn't find any differences in behavior.

Probably, problem caused by some errors during host package installation. But I don't know how to debug it.

Manual installation of remotejs.apk didn't help. I've tried remotejs.py with -n option and behavior was the same. remotejs.py without options removed application from target device.

remotejs console.log not logging data

When I run remotejs (either shell or desktop) no console.log values are printed.

$ python2.6 remotejs.py
# RemoteJS - Remote JavaScript Console for Android.
# Please wait...
# Target device is HT15TTJ00445.
www.google.com
console.log('foo')

Looking at a concurrent adb logcat I see:

D/AndroidRuntime(11529):

I'm running Mac OS 10.6 with Android SDK Tools 16 and Android SDK Platform-tools 10.

Error running qmake

When I try to run the qmake command, I just get

QMAKESPEC has not been set, so configuration cannot be deduced.
Error processing project file: C:/.../android-sdk/tools/remote/src/desktop/remotejs.pro

I just downloaded and installed the whole QT sdk. I had a few copies of qmake.exe come up, but the installer didn't put any of them in the path, so I'm not sure which is correct.

EventRecorder Error "Device tool installation failed"

When running "python recorder.py test" comand I'm getting an error "Device tool installation failed - cannot open 'c:\docume1\user121\locals~1\temp\tmpfksn2g': No such file or directory".
Host OS: Windows XP SP3.

Thank you!
