Latin Lookup

There is a new version of Latin Lookup in beta. It can be found from the repository sd0e/latinlookup-dev. This version continues to be the main version, however, until the new one is fully released.

Introduction

Latin Lookup is a web tool that will allow you to get the best out of the Wiktionary site for the Latin language. This project aims to make it easier to find Latin resources on Wiktionary by removing all non-Latin related content from search queries.

Suggestions

When I type in a word that is not a real Latin word, the app just loads forever. We should add a timeout feature, or even better just make sure to check if the word even exists in the Wiktionary database (I'm guessing the app as it is right now just continuously consults the database to see if the word exists?). Another thing that should be added is to set everything to lowercase (apart from proper nouns), so that when I type in 'Vallum' it does not stall forever, and instead goes to 'vallum'.

Cut off footer on mobile

The footer is cut off the screen when using my mobile device.

Perhaps it would be better to either disable this on mobile if possible considering it wastes screen space on mobile. Maybe move it to an about page or something like that? Could possibly just have an about page link to the readme.

Thoughts?
