jOAI Software

jOAI is a Java web application that implements the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH), version 2.0, and includes a data provider and harvester.

Getting Started

Please see the following documentation for jOAI:

• Installation instructions - Install the pre-compiled binary WAR file to Tomcat (get the latest release)
• Build instructions - Build the web application from source
• Docker build instructions - Build the web application from source and bundle in a docker image
• Changes - View changes in the latest software release
• Data provider and Harvester documentation - Install and start jOAI, open the web application in your browser and go to the Data Provider and Harvester documentation pages to set up and begin using jOAI

About

jOAI was developed by Digital Learning Sciences (DLS) at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) to support the Digital Library for Earth System Education (DLESE) and is maintained as an open source project used by a number of organizations. Support was provided by the National Science Foundation (NSF) as part of the DLESE Program and other grants.
