I think you (@pschloss) mentioned that someone (Marcy, other faculty?) asked questions about our lab's Code Club that ultimately gave you the idea to write this paper. Perhaps they should be acknowledged for sparking the idea?

If you want to, you could also add what we did for the ML pipeline as a way CodeClub helps project continuity in the lab. I can do a PR for this if you want me to write down my experience.

The voice seems to shift in this rule from describing what works and why to telling someone what they must do. I think either changing this to describing what good participation looks like or converting these assertions to bullet points and introducing them.

Also i think it would be good to incorporate "take space, leave space" meaning those who tend to talk more or know more try to give space for those who dont and those who tend to not talk much or have as much experience to try to take more space
