status-18's Issues

Running 'make' results in error in bdftopsf: "invalid number of bytes 1 on data line 1"

When I try to install the status-18 font (on a Debian testing machine), I get the error:

perl ./bdftopsf.pl +u -o status-18.psf status-18.bdf
./bdftopsf.pl: status-18.bdf: invalid number of bytes 1 on data line 1
Makefile:23: recipe for target 'status-18.psf' failed
make: *** [status-18.psf] Error 25

I do not know why the error is happening, or where, precisely. A casual glance suggests the number of lines in each character is equal to the number of lines specified in the BBX section of each character.

Any help on how to rectify it?
