quasar-67's Issues

Add JST-Connector

To support a wider range of 65% Boards we could likely add a breakout for JST-Connectors.
Because some boards require special placements / positions we ought to find a universal or find a compromise.

I will leave this open and hope for contribution from @manudergrohse

enhance layout options

The bottom row is currently static however it could be enhanced with additional layouts that allow for further customization.

This ought to be done before releasing rev2

add cutouts for bakeneko-style cases

Those keyboard cases - which we could support with this pcb - come with certain cutouts on each side to avoid collision with the case.
I should amend those to include support for mentioned cases.

ought to be done before release of the second revision #5

prepare second revision

While most changes were implemented and validated
We have to update the following for a second revision:

  • update Gerber for production
  • update README to feature images, descriptions, possible layouts
  • validate functionality of trackpad to be used

add holes to solder usb-daughterboard

In case one does not make use of the provided JST-port - or its obstructed by some other part - I should provide an alternative to solder on the required cables.

ought to be done before the second revision #5 is done

optional 65 Blocker

for a wider support of cases we could make the 65 Blocker optional.
This means adding mousebites so that one could cut those of if they insist to.

We could also leave it out entirely, making support easier by decreasing the amount of work ( especially regarding the hazardous dust of pcbs)

I would like your comment on it @Sturek

Issues for __second revision__

the first release came with some issues.
Those has been noted and ought to be solved for the next iteration.
Namely this means :

  • reset switches colliding with Plate
  • adding screws for blocker
  • misc, design choices?

update README to feature Buildguide and Images

Regarding the additional blocker for the middle part we likely have to add a build guide that showcases the procedures to build this keyboard.
Once I have the parts available I can add images accordingly

Furthermore we have to images of builds to showcase the final outcome of our replacement
