Supported releases

This branch supports:

• RHEL 7.2
• CentOS 7 1511

Building the SIMP ISO

NOTE The following examples use CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1511.iso as an overlay source.

Prerequisites

• You must first:
  • Set up your build environment
  • Download an appropriate source ISO to overlay (in this example CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1511.iso)
  • If building the release tarballs from scratch:
    • ~70GB free in the mock root directory (generally this is /var/lib/mock)

Quickstart

The minimum necessary command to build SIMP from scratch is:

bundle exec rake build:auto[6.X,path/to/CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1511.iso]

If building from published release tarball:

bundle exec rake build:auto[6.X,path/to/CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1511.iso,path/to/SIMP-DVD-CentOS-6.0.0-0.tar.gz]
