EasyEbook is a web-based Ebook Management System designed to streamline the process of storing, organizing, and retrieving ebooks. With an intuitive and user-friendly interface, EasyEbook empowers users to effortlessly manage their ebook collection. Key features include user and admin registration, comprehensive ebook management capabilities (adding, editing, and deleting), user account management, and a convenient book cart for seamless ebook purchasing. Built with Java, Spring Boot, and an array of web technologies, EasyEbook ensures a smooth and efficient experience for both administrators and users. Explore the world of digital reading with EasyEbook, where managing your ebooks is as simple as a click.

1. Features

  • User/Admin Registration and Login: Users/Admin can create an account and log in to the system.

  • Ebook Management:

    • Add Ebook: Admin can upload new ebooks, providing details such as title, author, price of the book.
    • Edit Ebook: Admin can update the details of existing ebooks.
    • Delete Ebook: Admin can remove ebooks from their collection.
    • User Can View the Books Uploaded by Admin.
  • User Account Management.

  • Book Cart:

    • Add to Cart: Users can add ebooks to their cart for purchasing.
    • Remove from Cart: Users can remove books from their cart.

4. Installation

To run EasyEbook locally on your machine, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/Satyamkumarnavneet/EasyEbook
  2. Set up the database:

  3. Create a new database in MySQL.

  4. Update the database connection details in the application.properties file.

  5. Open IntelliJ or any other IDE:

  6. Open the project from the directory.

  7. Run the application: Run as Spring Boot Application.

  8. Access the application in your browser.

  9. Navigate to http://localhost:8082.

5. Usage

  1. Register a new user account or log in using existing credentials.
  2. Explore EasyEbook to view the available ebooks.
  3. Add ebooks to your collection by uploading new ebooks and providing their details.
  4. Edit or delete ebooks from your collection as needed.
  5. Browse ebooks and add them to your cart for purchase.
  6. Remove ebooks from your cart or proceed to checkout to complete the purchase.
  7. Log out from the application when finished.
