This project provides an API to calculate Panchanga at any given time.

The API calculate_panchanga takes any date, time and time-zone to give the following: Thiti, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana and Rashi.

plib.c is the file where calculations are done. panchanga.c shows usage of the API.

Just do a "make" on a Linux PC to compile and run "./panchanga -h" to see the help.

Incorrect moon rashi?

The moon rashi seems to be ahead by 1. From standard almanacs, today 16 June 2019, 16:11pm in India is Vrishchika moon rashi -- but this shows Dhanu

Request for some more info

The coding provided to calculate panchanga is very useful. I used the formulae used in this coding to calculate Tithi, Naksyatra, Yoga, Karan, Rashi in my app for android. Many many thanks for the coding.

I am writing you to request some more information/ formula to calculate the chandra masa(चान्द्र मास) for each tithi, e.g. Baishakha (बैशाष) , Jestha (जेष्ठ) etc. of Chandra Masa/Tithi to be used like 'Jestha Sukla Pratipada' (जेष्ठ शुक्ल प्रतिपदा) & so on.
Can you please provide me the formula to calculate this Month (चन्द्र मास) - (if you are still involved in such programming), or suggest me any other links/websites that provides such information.
