Implementation of FAIR principles in the IPCC: The WGI AR6 Atlas repository

Repository supporting the results presented in the manuscript on Implementation of FAIR principles in the IPCC: The WGI AR6 Atlas repository by Iturbide et al. (Sci. Data 9:629, 2022). The Jupyter notebook GWL-plot_Python.ipynb provides the code to reproduce Figure 3 in the manuscript by re-using data from the IPCC WGI Atlas repository (https://github.com/IPCC-WG1/Atlas).

The notebook runs on the execution environment provided by the Atlas repository, which can be accessed through the above MyBinder.org badge. Note that it reads the input data directly from the Atlas repository at GitHub, which supports a limited number of daily requests. This limit could be reached on heavy use of this notebook (e.g. by running it many times with multiple parameter choices). For such use, we recommend accessing the Atlas repository data locally, by cloning from Github or by downloading from Zenodo.
